April 27, 2009
Assalamu Alaikum Sisters
We have been studying the material for the Women & Da’wah Course (A Da’wah course for Sisters who are new to da’wah). These are the Power Point slides we studied this week (without the notes)…just a memory jogger.

Assalamualikum Fatima,
Jazakillah khair for this article….
Can you suggest me something how do we start the conversation with fellow muslim sisters about importance of wearing Hijjab.
They shd be knowing it is it not and their kids are in islamic schools and they see so many with hijjabs ..so shd we advice them for hijjab or not.
Wassalam,

Wa alaikumus salam
I wouldn’t start by talking about hijab straight away. Maybe you should get to know the sisters, invite them to your house….let them meet you on your turf and get to know you. Then you’ll be able to understand them better…where are they in terms of their Islamic background and knowledge.
Often it is not because people don’t know they should be observing hijab that they don’t. It is a lack of Iman. You could talk to them about Iman building and boosting things…once their Iman is high enough, they will want to obey Allah and won’t care what people think about it.
Allah knows best.
